THERAPEUTIC YOGA

Therapeutic yoga sessions implement the principles and techniques of yoga to achieve spiritual, psychological, or physiological goals for individuals or groups. Each of us is whole and capable of self-healing. This practice can create the context for empowered self-healing on many levels of being, and may be appropriate for those experiencing:

  • specific medical conditions
  • mental health concerns
  • stress, anxiety, depression
  • search for meaning
  • energetic blockages

The teacher will build the class to meet the needs and interests of the student. These sessions can take many forms, and may use tools from:

  • Physical Postures
  • Breathwork
  • Meditation
  • Relaxation
  • Mudra
  • Chanting
  • 8 Limbs of Ashtanga Yoga (Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, Samadhi)

Private therapeutic yoga sessions allow you to practice in the comfort of your home, or the even in the soft grass of your favorite park! It is a great time to ask questions and use the aspects of yoga to meet personal goals.
